Chemical dosing unit
Size:
The dosing unit is an automated dosing system primarily used in power plants for treating boiler feedwater, circulating water, hydrazine, phosphates, and other applications. It is also suitable for industries such as petroleum, chemical processing, environmental protection, and water supply systems. The modular dosing unit comprises a solution tank, metering pump, filter, safety valve, check valve, pressure gauge, buffer tank, liquid level gauge, control cabinet, and other components, all integrated and mounted on a single base. Users simply install the modular dosing unit in the dosing room, connect the inlet and outlet lines, and plug it into the power supply to start operation. This factory‑integrated, turnkey solution significantly reduces design and on‑site construction efforts, while providing reliable assurance of the overall system’s quality, safety, and successful commissioning.

It is also suitable for use in the petroleum, chemical, environmental protection, and water supply industries. The modular dosing unit comprises a solution tank, metering pump, filter, safety valve, check valve, pressure gauge, surge tank, liquid level gauge, control cabinet, and other components, all integrated and mounted on a single base. Users simply install the modular dosing unit in the dosing room, connect the inlet and outlet lines, and plug it into the power supply to start operation. This factory‑integrated, turnkey system significantly reduces design and on‑site construction efforts, while providing reliable assurance of the overall system’s quality, safety, and successful commissioning.
Classification of dosing devices:
A dosing unit is a complete system that injects chemical solutions into various processes according to the process flow; based on its application, it can be classified into three main types.
1. Oilfield chemical injection system. Primarily used in oil production to inject various chemical solutions—such as flocculants, scale inhibitors, corrosion inhibitors, and demulsifiers—into wellheads and other systems on offshore platforms.
2. Boiler chemical dosing system. It can be used for ammonia and hydrazine dosing in boiler feedwater, ammonia and hydrazine dosing in condensate, ammonia and hydrazine dosing for boiler shutdown protection, as well as phosphate dosing in steam boilers, and is primarily employed in power plants and generating stations.
3. Water treatment dosing system. This equipment is used to add chemicals to tap water, wastewater, and sewage during the water treatment process. It is primarily employed in water supply and drainage treatment, environmental protection, and other related processes, such as municipal water plants, hotels, restaurants, swimming pools, and wastewater treatment facilities.
Working principle:
The dosing unit uses a metering pump as its primary dosing equipment and integrates a chemical dissolution tank, agitator, dosing‑tank level gauge, safety valve, check valve, pressure gauge, filter, buffer, piping, valves, base frame, ladder, automatic monitoring system, and electrical control system—all assembled on a common platform according to process requirements—into a single module, commonly referred to as a skid‑mounted, modular unit (hereafter “skid”). The process involves charging a predetermined dose of chemical into the mixing tank for agitation and dissolution; once dissolved, the solution is pumped via the metering pump to the dosing point. The dosage can be freely adjusted to meet the specific requirements of different application sites.
The dosing unit adopts an electromechanical integrated design and, in terms of installation, is available in fixed and mobile (cart‑mounted) configurations. Each configuration is equipped with a mixing system, a dosing system, and an automatic control system. Several fixed skid‑mounted units can be combined into a single integrated system; when paired with a variable‑frequency drive control system, they enable local control, remote automated operation, and seamless switching between manual and automatic dosing modes. The Huli dosing unit boasts a compact structure, small footprint, low noise, smooth operation, simple installation, and convenient handling and use.
Scope of Application
Boiler water treatment systems, circulating cooling systems, central air-conditioning chilled-water systems, raw-water pretreatment systems, and wastewater treatment systems in the thermal power generation industry;
Wastewater treatment and disinfection systems for the petroleum and chemical industries, including boiler water treatment systems, recirculating cooling systems, and chemical additive dosing systems, as well as for the medical and electronics sectors.
