I. Product Features, Main Applications, and Scope of Use

The intelligent chlorine dioxide dosing unit uses commercially available chlorine dioxide powder, which is diluted and mixed to produce a high-purity chlorine dioxide solution. This solution is then precisely metered and dosed into the water to be treated via a high-precision electromagnetic diaphragm metering pump. The controller features multiple protective functions, including low‑material detection, water‑pressure protection, dry‑run protection, remote start/stop, metering‑pump control, flow‑rate regulation, residual‑chlorine monitoring, and encrypted storage of setpoint data (PLC‑type). The equipment is widely applicable for disinfecting drinking water, swimming‑pool water, hospital wastewater, reclaimed water, and oilfield injection water; for biocidal and algaecidal treatment of industrial circulating cooling water; and for decolorizing, deodorizing, or removing reducible contaminants from wastewater.

II. Equipment Features and Usage Requirements

1. Requirements for chemical raw materials: the finished product must be chlorine dioxide powder or a stable disinfectant powder.

2. Production Capacity: The rated effective chlorine production rate is 10–500 grams per hour.

3 Power supply: AC 220 V, 50 Hz; equipment power rating: 100 W.

III. Operating Environment, Working Conditions, and Characteristics

3.1 Operating Environment

1. Ensure adequate ventilation; in winter, the indoor temperature should not fall below 10°C.

2. Power Supply: AC 220V.

3. Flooring: Tiled with ceramic tiles and equipped with organized drainage.

4. Raw Material Storage Room:

The disinfectant dispenser shall be positioned 10–20 cm above the floor to prevent splashing during floor washing, and kept at least 10 cm away from walls. Smoking is prohibited indoors, and no open flames or sparks are allowed. Any powder that spills onto the floor must be swept up immediately.

5. The intelligent chlorine dioxide generator should ideally be installed in a dedicated equipment room.

3.2 Product Features and Operating Costs

1. The product’s raw materials are easy to procure and store, the solution boasts high purity, and formulation is rapid.

2. The product features a compact structure, simple and easy-to-learn operation, rapid handling, and reduced labor intensity.

3. No dedicated operator is required; with one day of training, ordinary personnel can operate it independently.

4. The equipment has low operating costs: a single 1,000‑gram packet of chlorine dioxide powder costs RMB 20. According to the dosage instructions, one packet can be diluted in 50 kg of tap water to achieve a concentration of 2,000 mg/L. Assuming a residual chlorine level of 0.2 mg/L per ton of water, the system can treat approximately 2,000 ÷ 0.2 = 10,000 tons of tap water (or groundwater). The cost of the chemical is RMB 20 per ton ÷ 10,000 tons = RMB 0.002 per ton, resulting in a treatment cost of just RMB 0.02 per ton. Electricity consumption for the metering pump—running at 10 W/h—is negligible.

5. Automatic online dosing of disinfectant; the dosage can be automatically adjusted in proportion to changes in water volume or residual chlorine dioxide levels in the treated effluent, enabling fully automated online dosing to maintain a consistent chlorine dioxide concentration in the water. It delivers excellent disinfection performance at low dosages, does not lower the water’s pH, and effectively improves its taste. No residual liquid is produced, and there is no secondary pollution.

6. The dissolution tank is constructed from corrosion-resistant materials, offering a long service life and ensuring safety and reliability.

7. Chemical dosing is performed using imported metering pumps for precise dosing, ensuring reliable operation and facilitating residual chlorine adjustment.

8. The equipment is easy to install and can be fully assembled in 1–3 hours.

IV. Instructions for Use

When chlorine dioxide is used to disinfect and sterilize various types of water bodies, or to decolorize and deodorize, or as an oxidizing agent, the appropriate dosage can vary significantly, and both water volume and water quality are variable factors. Therefore, the table below provides a recommended dosage; end‑users are advised to adjust the chlorine dioxide generator based on the specific characteristics of their water source (within the allowable range). It is also recommended that users measure the chlorine consumption of their water and calculate the dosage as: dosage = chlorine consumption + residual chlorine level.

V.Product Operation and Usage Instructions

1. Open the water-fill valve on the medication‑dissolving tank until the water reaches the indicated level, then close the valve.

2. Add the chemical to the dissolution tank according to the prescribed dilution ratio and operating procedure, using a weight‑based dosing method. (Note: Prepare enough for approximately 10 days’ use to prevent volatilization and degradation of the formulation, which could lead to waste.)

3. Activate the magnetic stirring device or allow the mixture to stand for saturation and decomposition, then stir and dissolve for 15–30 minutes; the chemical formulation is now complete.

4. Start the metering pump, adjust the diluter valve to control the dilution water flow, and regulate the metering pump’s chemical dosage.

5. After the system has been running for a period of time, measure the residual chlorine level at the dosing outlet or the pool discharge point, and then precisely adjust the dosing rate of the metering pump. Once this is completed, the equipment commissioning is finished. (For systems with online monitoring and control, simply adjust the control instrument.)

6. Ensure adequate ventilation in the equipment room, and protect the equipment from rain, direct sunlight, and freezing temperatures.
