  • Product Overview of Integrated Wastewater Treatment Equipment

    Our company’s integrated wastewater treatment equipment employs internationally advanced biological treatment technologies. Drawing on operational experience from both domestic and international residential wastewater treatment systems, we have designed an all‑in‑one organic wastewater treatment unit that simultaneously removes BOD5, COD, and NH3‑N. It offers stable and reliable performance, excellent treatment efficiency, reduced capital investment, automated operation, convenient maintenance, a compact footprint, no need for a dedicated building, and no requirement for heating or insulation. The system can be installed underground, with the above‑ground space suitable for landscaping, thus minimizing impact on the surrounding environment. This equipment is ideally suited for treating and reusing domestic wastewater, as well as similar small‑ to medium‑scale industrial organic wastewaters generated by slaughterhouses, seafood processing plants, food‑processing facilities, and other industries, in settings such as residential communities, villages, towns, office buildings, shopping malls, hotels, restaurants, sanatoriums, government offices, schools, military units, hospitals, highways, railways, factories, mines, and tourist attractions.

    Integrated Wastewater Treatment Equipment Process

    The design of the integrated wastewater treatment system is primarily intended for treating domestic sewage and similar industrial organic wastewater. The main treatment process employed is a well-established biochemical method—the contact oxidation process. Water quality parameters are based on typical domestic wastewater standards, with influent BOD set at 200 mg/L and effluent BOD at 20 mg/L. The system comprises six major components:

    (1) hydrolysis–acidification tank;

    (2) contact oxidation tank;

    (3) secondary sedimentation tank;

    (4) disinfection tank and disinfection unit;

    (5) sludge storage tank; and

    (6) blower room and blowers.

    The wastewater from the septic tank, after anaerobic fermentation, flows into the equalization basin, where it is homogenized and its flow rate is stabilized before being pumped to the Grade A anoxic tank. In this biological treatment stage, heterotrophic bacteria hydrolyze soluble organic matter in the wastewater into organic acids, breaking down macromolecular organics into smaller molecules and converting insoluble organics into soluble forms. Additionally, proteins, fats, and other pollutants are ammonified, while the nitrified effluent returned from the secondary sedimentation tank undergoes denitrification to remove ammonia nitrogen from the water.

    In the O‑level biological tank, aerobic microorganisms and nitrifying bacteria are present; these microorganisms decompose organic matter into CO₂ and H₂O. Under sufficient aeration, the nitrification process carried out by nitrifying bacteria oxidizes NH₃‑N to NO₃⁻, which is then returned to the A‑level biological tank via recirculation. In the anoxic conditions, heterotrophic denitrifying bacteria reduce NO₃⁻ to molecular nitrogen. The effluent from the contact oxidation tank flows by gravity into the sedimentation tank for solid–liquid separation. After sludge settles, the supernatant from the sedimentation tank is sent to the disinfection tank, and the disinfected wastewater meets discharge standards.

    Product Features of Integrated Wastewater Treatment Equipment

    1. Its treatment performance surpasses that of completely mixed or two-stage series‑connected completely mixed biological contact oxidation tanks. Moreover, it features a smaller footprint than activated sludge systems, exhibits strong adaptability to varying water quality, demonstrates excellent resistance to shock loads, delivers stable effluent quality, and avoids sludge bulking. The reactor is equipped with a novel elastic three-dimensional packing material, which offers a large specific surface area, facilitates biofilm formation and detachment, and, under the same organic loading conditions, achieves a high removal rate of organic matter while enhancing the solubility of atmospheric oxygen in water.

    2. The biochemical tank employs the biological contact oxidation process, with a relatively low volumetric loading on the packing material. Under these conditions, the microorganisms operate in the endogenous respiration phase, resulting in minimal sludge production—requiring sludge removal only once every three months (90 days) or longer, either by suction with a fecal‑suction truck or by dewatering into sludge cakes for off‑site disposal.

    3. The entire equipment processing system is equipped with a fully automatic electrical control system and an equipment fault alarm system, ensuring safe and reliable operation. Under normal circumstances, it requires no dedicated operator; only periodic maintenance and routine upkeep are necessary.

    Integrated Wastewater Treatment Equipment and Centralized Wastewater Treatment System

    1. Technical Approach

    It is one of the primary methods currently used for centralized wastewater treatment—namely, constructing wastewater treatment plants in rural areas.

    Integrated wastewater treatment systems incorporate physical filtration, biological degradation, and plant-based retention processes, effectively removing organic matter while leveraging the synergistic action of aquatic plants and microorganisms to eliminate nitrogen and phosphorus. They are particularly well suited for treating and reusing rural domestic wastewater, as well as water bodies such as rivers and natural lakes.

    2. Application Status

    Centralized wastewater treatment systems offer high levels of automation and ease of management, delivering effluent of excellent quality with remarkable stability; given the current state of rural wastewater, they can fully meet national discharge standards. At present, a wide range of centralized treatment technologies are being implemented across China, and—with the exception of land‑based processes—substantial experience in both construction and operation has been accumulated.

    Operating Instructions for Integrated Wastewater Treatment Equipment

    1. Capable of treating municipal combined wastewater and similar organic effluents;

    2. Constructed with fiberglass-reinforced plastic, corrosion‑resistant carbon steel, and stainless steel, it boasts excellent properties such as corrosion resistance and aging resistance, with a service life of over 50 years.

    3. The entire system is simple to install and easy to operate; all mechanical equipment is under automated control, and the complete installation can be located below ground level.

    Scope of Application for Integrated Wastewater Treatment Equipment

    1. Hotels, restaurants, sanatoriums, and hospitals;

    2. Residential communities, villages, and small towns;

    3. Railway stations, airports, seaport terminals, and vessels;

    4. Factories, mines, military units, tourist attractions, and scenic areas;

    5. Various industrial organic wastewaters similar to domestic sewage.

    Suitable for hotels, restaurants, sanatoriums, and hospitals; residential communities, villages, and small towns; railway stations, airports, seaports, and ships; factories, mines, military units, tourist attractions, and scenic areas; as well as various types of industrial organic wastewater similar to domestic sewage.

    Installation and Maintenance of Integrated Wastewater Treatment Equipment

    1. Foundation: For WSZ-series equipment installed above the ground, simply prepare a concrete foundation matching the equipment’s footprint. The foundation must support a load of at least 4 t/m² and be level and smooth. If the equipment is to be buried below ground level, the foundation elevation must be equal to or lower than the equipment’s elevation, ensuring no water accumulates during rainfall. Typically, the foundation is constructed of plain concrete (reinforcement may be required depending on local soil conditions).

    2. Installation: Position the units according to the installation drawings, placing each tank in sequence. Ensure that the tanks are correctly oriented and spaced at the specified intervals, and properly connect all piping. Fill the equipment with clean water and inspect all pipelines for leaks. If no leaks are detected, backfill around the tanks up to the equipment inspection ports, then level the ground surface. Connect the control wiring of the electrical control cabinet to the pump, and link the cabinet to the power supply. When making connections, verify that the fan and motor rotate in the same direction as indicated on the fan.
