Author:
4. Analysis of Mechanical Damage to Filter Bags: (1) Friction and puncture caused by rough frame surfaces and sharp weld marks. (2) Improper storage, transportation, and installation. (3) Excessive blow‑off pressure leading to bag abrasion. Remedial Measures: (1) Ensure proper maintenance of the frame and keep its surface smooth. (2) Use appropriate packaging; during storage and transport, avoid compression and bending, protect against water and direct sunlight, and handle with care during installation to prevent impacts; never drag the bags on the ground. (3) Adjust the blow‑off pressure.
4. Mechanical damage to filter bags
Cause Analysis:
(1) Friction and puncture injuries caused by the rough surface of the frame and sharp weld marks.
(2) Improper storage, transportation, and installation.
(3) Excessive blow-down pressure causes wear on the filter bags.
Handling method:
(1) Pay attention to the maintenance of the frame and keep its surface smooth.
(2) Pack securely; during storage and transportation, avoid compression and bending. Protect from water and direct sunlight. Handle with care during installation to prevent damage, and never drag the product across the floor.
(3) Adjust the blow-in pressure.
5. Weak blowing force from the pulse valve
Cause Analysis:
(1) The large diaphragm’s throttling orifice is excessively large, or there are porosity defects on the diaphragm; the exhaust port is partially blocked.
(2) The air supply pressure is too low.
(3) The ash‑removal nozzles are misaligned or blocked.
Handling method:
(1) Replace the diaphragm and clear the vent hole.
(2) Increase the gas supply pressure.
(3) Inspect the ash‑blowing nozzle pipe for blockages and ensure proper alignment.
6. The solenoid valve fails to operate or leaks air.
Cause Analysis:
· Coil damage, open circuit, poor contact, or no signal from the controller.
· The diaphragm is damaged and deformed; foreign matter is lodged on the diaphragm, preventing it from returning to its original position; the spring has failed, or the vent hole is blocked.
· What spray pressure can damage components?
Handling method:
· Inspect the coil and wiring.
· Replace the diaphragm spring or rubber components, and clear the vent holes.
· Adjust the blowing pressure.
7. Resistance has increased beyond the normal range and remains unchanged even after a cleaning cycle.
Cause Analysis:
(1) Bag blinding occurs.
(2) The ash‑removal device has malfunctioned, resulting in no ash‑removal effect.
(3) Poor dust removal performance.
(4) The filtration rate is too high.
Handling method:
(1) To address bag blinding, either pre‑coat the filter bags with an ultra‑thin PTFE microporous membrane on the dust‑contacting surface, or apply a specialized treatment powder to the bag surface to form an extremely thin filter cake, thereby achieving uniform, fine porosity. Alternatively, subjecting the filter cloth to special surface treatments such as calendering or sintering can achieve the same effect. Additionally, oil‑repellent, antistatic, or water‑proof filter fabrics may be used, and insulation measures should be implemented to prevent condensation that could lead to bag blinding.
(2) Inspect and clean the dust-removal device, and troubleshoot any malfunctions.
(3) Shorten the cleaning cycle, extend the pulse‑blowing duration, and increase the blowing pressure.
(4) Identify the cause, take corrective action, inspect for air leaks, and seal any leaks.
8. Everything else is normal, but the emission concentration exceeds the standard.
Cause Analysis:
(1) The dust collector filter bags are damaged.
(2) The filtration velocity is too high, resulting in dust leakage.
(3) Excessive pulse‑blowing duration or overly frequent cleaning can damage the initial dust layer.
(4) The cleaning force is too strong, resulting in secondary dust generation.
(5) Some air bags have an unreasonable structural design, leading to air leakage during the installation of pulse valves.
Handling method:
(1) Inspect and replace the filter bags. The outer diameter of the bag cage should maintain a specified clearance relative to the inner diameter of the filter bag; excessive clearance can increase wear on the filter bag, so the clearance should be minimized.
(2) Identify the root cause, take corrective action, and reduce the filtration air velocity.
(3) Reduce the blow-down duration and increase the cleaning cycle.
(4) Reduce the intensity of dust removal.
(5) Carry out appropriate modifications to prevent gas leakage.
(6) Appropriately enlarge the housing and increase the height of the hopper to ensure that the hopper’s inclination angle is no less than 60°. For applications with high flue-gas humidity and highly cohesive dust, installing vibrators at the hopper of the dust collector can prevent ash buildup, making this solution particularly suitable for the humid conditions typical of southern regions.
